Terraseed is commercialising the production of Sedum for Sky Gardens, one of the largest UK green roof installation companies.

The Terraseed technology allows the growing and harvesting process to be automated, which has allowed the company to increase its production from 1ha in 2010 to 10ha in 2011.

The Sedum is grown in thin layer of compost and mesh on raised beds using Terraseed Excel which provides a warm protected environment for the young seedlings.

The Company are actively working on enhancing the production system by evaluating reduced inputs and peat alternatives.
