Terraseed® should be laid mechanically using a Terraseed Layer, or other suitably modified equipment, onto consolidated beds with a smooth level surface. This ensures good contact with the soil and the seed remains moist during germination and establishment.

Trickle irrigation tubes may be incorporated at laying and/or low pressure emitters may be used to cool the surface of the seed mat to prevent thermodormancy or heat injury during establishment.
