The Terraseed mat must be laid so that there is optimum contact with the soil. Any gaps between the soil and the seed mat will allow weed seeds to germinate, and prevent the radicals from finding their way into the soil. The soil must be moist when the Terraseed mat is laid, and then the mat itself must be kept moist with overhead watering.
