Terraseed win R&D funding from the Technology Strategy Board's New Approaches to Crop Protection competition for 4 year project focusing on pest and disease control in horticultural crops in collaboration with Stockbridge Technology Centre.
Beetroot grows very well in Terraseed ClassicTM and can be used either as a baby leaf or as a root crop. The swollen stem base grows above the seedmat and can be easily top lifted through it.
Seeds are sown in rows that are 7.5cm apart at between 400 and 600 /m2.
